Write sentences for lessons 6 and 7 vocab words. Each sentence should have a strong verb, quality adjective, and -ly word.

Prepare your oral report to give in class. You just need your key word outline. At home, practice telling it with your notes until you are comfortable. Remember 3 topics and to have the clincher for each section and wrap it up with a final clincher that goes back to the main subject. You can have 4 words on a line for this assignment.

Congrats to Bradley, Nathan, and Michael, who received a perfect score on the first vocab unit test. Also, Jade and Rebecca, who only missed one! Remind me to give out candy bars!

Everyone else will retake the unit vocab quiz after the break - lessons 1-5. You have all break to study the words! Use the game, as the quiz will be printed from the quia web site. You can even practice by using the print function from the game page. The words will reappear throughout the year, so you need to learn them.

reminder: No makeup work will be accepted after Nov. 2 for the first grade period. If you are not passing any class we will need to have a conference with your teachers and your parents.
